Our Tampa Wedding Venue
Everything Tampa Bay Couples Ask Us
Planning a wedding in the Tampa Bay area raises a lot of questions — and that's exactly how it should be. The more you know about a venue before you book, the more confident you'll feel on the day you say yes. Below you'll find thorough answers to the questions couples ask us most about The Barn at Crescent Lake, our all-inclusive wedding packages, what's included, how the day works, and everything in between. If you don't see your question here, schedule a free private tour and we'll walk you through everything in person.
Location & Property
5 QuestionsThe Barn at Crescent Lake is located at 9612 Crescent Dr, Odessa, FL 33556 — situated on the shores of Crescent Lake in North Tampa. Our address places us in Odessa, but we are just minutes from the North Tampa communities of Lutz, Wesley Chapel, and Trinity. The property was originally Old McMicky's Farm, a beloved part of the local community since 1946. Today, it has been beautifully transformed into one of Tampa Bay's most distinctive waterfront wedding venues—featuring a newly paved, lakefront ceremony site and stunning reception space—all while preserving its natural charm and character.
We are approximately 20 to 25 minutes from downtown Tampa and about 25 minutes from Tampa International Airport. The drive is easy and straightforward, with most routes running north on Veterans Expressway or Dale Mabry Highway.
We are also conveniently located near many other Tampa Bay communities — typically within 30 to 40 minutes of Brandon, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, New Port Richey, Dade City, Land O' Lakes, and Tarpon Springs. Many of our couples' guests arrange hotel accommodations in Odessa or Wesley Chapel, which are both within 10 to 15 minutes of the venue.
The Barn at Crescent Lake sits on 20 private lakefront acres on Crescent Lake — a setting unlike anything else in the Tampa Bay area. Your guests will arrive along a pathway that follows the curvature of the lake, setting the mood long before the ceremony begins.
The property includes distinct event spaces (The Barn and The Lodge), multiple outdoor ceremony sites along the lakefront, a cocktail hour patio, a fire pit, lawn games, café string lights throughout the grounds, and a private boardwalk along the water's edge. Our bridal cabin sits directly on the lake, and the groom's lodge is nestled above the reception area in the barn loft.
The natural beauty of the property — the water, the old oak trees, the open sky at golden hour — is something our couples consistently describe as their favorite part.
Yes, absolutely. The Barn at Crescent Lake provides its entire 20-acre property exclusively to one couple and their guests at a time. We do not double-book weddings or share the venue with other events on your day.
This is one of the most important things to ask any Tampa wedding venue — and it's one of the things our couples value most about us. Your day belongs entirely to you. This means no strangers on the property, no competition for parking, no neighboring wedding overlapping with yours. From the moment your guests arrive to the final send-off, the grounds are yours alone.
Yes. Several excellent hotel options are located within 10 to 15 minutes of our Odessa venue. We maintain relationships with preferred hotel partners in the area who are familiar with our venue and can accommodate wedding-night stays and room blocks for out-of-town guests.
When you schedule your free private tour, our team will provide an updated list of recommended accommodations along with contact information for the hotels that tend to work best for our couples' needs. We recommend booking a room block as early as possible if you have a significant number of guests traveling from out of town.
Packages & Pricing
6 QuestionsYes — and we mean it. Our all-inclusive wedding packages are built around the idea that planning a wedding in Tampa should be exciting, not exhausting. Rather than forcing couples to research and negotiate with six or eight separate vendors, our packages bring everything together under a single contract with a single trusted team.
Our packages include: venue rental, wedding coordinator and day-of coordination, full catering, DJ and sound, wedding cake, décor and setup, bartender, and cleanup. Most elements are fully customizable — if you already have a photographer you love or want to bring in your own florist, we’ll work with you to build a package that fits. The two elements that are exclusive to our own team are the DJ and the bartender.
Our signature all-inclusive package covers every essential element of your wedding day. Here's a full breakdown of what's included:
Venue rental · Wedding coordinator · Day-of coordinator · Full catering · Wedding cake · DJ and sound system · Décor and setup (including linens, centerpieces, lighting, arches, aisle décor) · Bartender and bar service · Tables, chairs, and place settings · Setup and cleanup and more .The package also includes access to our "Fun Room" — a large shed stocked with hundreds of décor items including lanterns, signs, banners, table runners, table numbers, dessert stands, and more — all complimentary for your use to personalize the space exactly as you envision it.
Visit our Packages & Pricing page for full details on each package tier and what's customizable.
Our pricing is based on guest count, day of the week, and time of year — and is designed to be one of the most competitive all-inclusive rates in the greater Tampa Bay area. Because everything is bundled together (venue, catering, DJ, cake, coordinator, and more), the total value our couples receive is typically far greater than what they would spend piecing together the same services individually.
Weekday weddings (Monday through Thursday) are offered at a discounted rate, and rates are lower during summer months (June through September). Full current pricing is shared during your free private venue tour or via our digital package guide — we don't post exact rates publicly so we can ensure you're getting the most accurate and up-to-date information based on your specific guest count and date preferences.
Absolutely. Every package we offer is designed as a starting point, not a fixed menu. If you already have a photographer you love, a florist you've been following for years, or a specific caterer in mind, we'll work with you to build a package around what you need.
The two elements that are exclusive to our own team are the DJ and the bartender — these vendors have a proven track record at our venue and are essential to the smooth execution of the day. That said, couples are welcome to bring their own alcohol and work with our exclusive licensed bartending service, Spunky Spirits, to create a custom drink menu that's perfect for your celebration.
Everything else — from linen colors and centerpiece style to ceremony arch design, menu selection, and décor — is fully customizable through meetings with our coordinator and our in-house design inventory.
Yes. Our Just Us Package is our ceremony-only option designed for you and your closest family members. Bookable within 30 days of your date, it includes an officiant, exchanging vows at our stunning lakefront ceremony site, and the signing of your marriage certificate.
For couples planning a micro-wedding, we also offer an Intimate All-Inclusive Package for 40 guests or less. Available to be booked up to 4 months in advance, this option includes a 5-hour venue rental and everything featured in our full all-inclusive packages.
We also offer a Brunch Package — a 4-hour daytime celebration running from 10 AM to 2 PM — which is popular with couples who prefer a relaxed, morning wedding in natural light. See our full packages page for details.
Yes — weekday weddings (Monday through Thursday) are offered at a meaningfully discounted rate compared to weekend pricing. If your schedule allows flexibility, a weekday date can be a significant opportunity to stretch your wedding budget further without any compromise to your experience.
Summer months — June through September — are also offered at lower rates. Florida summers are warm, but The Barn is fully climate-controlled, so your guests will be comfortable regardless of the temperature outside. Many couples discover that a summer wedding here is far more comfortable and affordable than they expected.

Planning & Coordination
6 QuestionsOur wedding coordinator handles far more than most couples expect — and that's by design. From the time you book, your coordinator becomes your primary point of contact for all planning details. They are available for unlimited phone and email consultations throughout the planning process, and will meet with you at least once before the wedding to walk through every detail of the day.
Your coordinator designs the floor plan, ceremony layout, and wedding day timeline, then distributes these documents to all confirmed vendors. They also direct your ceremony rehearsal and serve as the go-to person for any vendor questions in the weeks leading up to the wedding.
On the wedding day itself, your coordinator and a day-of coordinator arrive early to set up your décor, welcome guests, organize the wedding party for the processional, carry out the timeline, distribute vendor gratuities, and handle every behind-the-scenes detail — so you and your families can simply be present and enjoy it.
For peak-season weekend dates (October through May), we typically recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance. Our most popular fall and winter Saturday dates often fill 12 to 16 months out. Summer weekend dates generally have more availability, but booking 6 to 12 months in advance is still a smart approach.
If your timeline is shorter, don't hesitate to reach out — we occasionally have last-minute availability due to cancellations or date changes. Our Just Us ceremony-only package can be booked up to 30 days in advance on select dates.
The single most important thing you can do right now, at any stage of planning, is schedule a tour. It locks in nothing, costs nothing, and gives you the clearest picture of whether this is the right venue for your day.Yes, with some guidelines. We have a curated list of approved vendors — photographers, videographers, florists, officiants, hair and makeup artists — who have a proven track record at our venue and are familiar with the property. These vendors are our first recommendation because we know them, trust them, and have seen them perform beautifully on-site.
Outside vendors not on our preferred list are welcome, provided they sign a Vendor Agreement, supply a valid certificate of insurance naming The Barn at Crescent Lake as additionally insured, and complete a site visit at least 30 days before the wedding date (if they have never been to the property). This ensures your vendors arrive prepared and nothing is left to chance.
The two in-house exclusives are our DJ and our bartending service — these are included in your package and not substitutable, as they are integral to how we run a seamless event.
Yes! Couples are welcome to bring their own alcohol to the property. Our exclusive licensed and insured bar service, Spunky Spirits, will handle the service, setup, and bartending — keeping everything legal, safe, and smooth.
A gratuity fee of $25 per hour per bartender is charged directly by the bar service. Spunky Spirits can also help you build a customized drink package if you'd prefer to have them source the alcohol on your behalf. Either way, our bar team is experienced, professional, and a consistent highlight for our couples' guests.
Yes — the ceremony rehearsal is included with our full wedding packages. In most cases, the rehearsal is scheduled the afternoon before your wedding day at the venue. Your wedding coordinator will be present to direct the wedding party through the processional, ceremony order, and recessional so everyone arrives on the day feeling prepared and confident.
Rehearsal day guests should park in the main parking lot and walk down the boardwalk to the ceremony site. Please note that vehicle access to the ceremony area during the rehearsal is reserved for guests with disabilities and those dropping off items for the next day.
Guest count changes are completely expected — it's one of the most common parts of wedding planning. Your package price will be adjusted to reflect your final confirmed headcount, and you'll be charged based on the number of guests actually attending rather than the estimate you gave when you first booked.
We simply ask that you communicate changes to your coordinator as they develop so we can ensure the catering, seating, and logistics are planned accurately. Your coordinator will set a final headcount confirmation deadline as part of your planning timeline.
The Barn & The Lodge
4 QuestionsThe Barn is the original heart of our venue — a beautifully renovated rustic barn with exposed wood, crystal chandeliers, large glass sliders that open to the lakefront, and a warm, romantic atmosphere that photographs exceptionally well. It's ideal for couples drawn to rustic, vintage, or boho aesthetics, with the capacity to host wedding celebrations for up to 220 guests.
The Lodge is a larger, open-air covered location with the capacity to host up to 400 guests. It also serves as the perfect rain backup plan for your ceremony, ensuring your guests are completely covered while you still get to enjoy our stunning lakefront backdrop.
Both event spaces sit on the same 20-acre property and share access to the same lakefront ceremony sites, bridal cabin, and outdoor spaces. The best way to decide which one is right for you is to come see them in person — most couples know immediately when they walk into the space that’s theirs.
The Barn can accommodate up to 220 guests seated for a full reception. It is our largest venue and the right choice for couples expecting a larger guest list.
The Lodge is ideal for more intimate celebrations, typically best suited for weddings under 100 guests. Its refined, smaller-scale design creates an especially warm, connected atmosphere for intimate gatherings.
Both event spaces can accommodate various layout configurations — round tables, long farm tables, cocktail-style, and more. If you are deciding between the two based on guest count, our team can help you map out exactly how your specific headcount would be seated in each space during your tour.
Typically, couples book one venue space for their wedding day — either The Barn or The Lodge — along with the shared outdoor ceremony sites, cocktail spaces, and grounds. Both event spaces share access to the same property, lakefront, and ceremony sites.
In some cases, couples with specific needs may inquire about multi-space arrangements. Please speak directly with our team during your tour to discuss what options are available for your guest count and vision. Our coordinators are experienced at designing the layout and flow of the day to make the most of the entire property.
We offer a beautiful, dedicated open-air lakefront ceremony site for your wedding. Your ceremony package includes benches (white chairs available as an upgrade) and a selection of eight different ceremony arches to choose from, along with aisle décor such as mason jar arrangements. The specific setup is designed in collaboration with your coordinator based on your guest count, preferred aesthetic, and weather backup preferences.
Day-of Logistics
5 QuestionsYes — and they're two of the most beloved features of our property. The bridal party gets ready in our Bridal Cabin, a private, fully equipped 1-bedroom lakeside cabin that sits directly on Crescent Lake. The setting is peaceful, beautiful, and gives your photographer stunning natural light for getting-ready portraits. Bride and bridesmaids gain access to the cabin at 12:00 PM on the wedding day.
The groom and groomsmen have their own space in the Groom's Lodge, located in the loft above the reception area inside the barn. It's stocked with a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, and everything needed to relax and get ready comfortably — well out of view of the bride on the opposite side of the lake. Groom's Lodge access begins at 2:00 PM on the wedding day.
Access times vary by package. For full wedding packages, the bride and bridal party have access to the Bridal Cabin beginning at 12:00 PM, and the groom and groomsmen have access to the Groom's Lodge beginning at 2:00 PM. Vendor setup access begins early in the day as coordinated with your wedding coordinator and included vendors.
Your full timeline — including the ceremony start time, cocktail hour, reception flow, and end time — is designed by your coordinator during the planning process and customized to your preferences. Your coordinator will manage every time-sensitive element of the day so you never have to watch the clock.
Florida weather is beautiful — and beautifully unpredictable. We are fully prepared for it. Both The Barn and The Lodge offer completely weather-protected indoor ceremony and reception spaces, so your wedding continues on schedule rain or shine.
In the case of a brief shower, your coordinator may suggest a short delay to the ceremony start time. For persistent rain, the entire ceremony is seamlessly moved indoors using the same décor and setup you already selected. Many couples who have experienced a rain-day pivot tell us it actually created some of their most magical photos and intimate moments.
We monitor the forecast closely in the days leading up to your wedding and have a clear plan ready before the day begins. You'll never be caught off-guard — we handle the contingency so you don't have to think about it.Yes! We welcome all biodegradable and non-fire-hazard send-off options. This includes metal-rod sparklers (we recommend 36-inch wedding sparklers, which last long enough for your photographer to capture the full moment), fresh flower petals, bubbles, and glow sticks.
Confetti, paper petals, and rice are not permitted as they create cleanup challenges and can be harmful to the property's natural environment. We're happy to advise on the best send-off options for your specific timeline and venue space — just ask your coordinator.
Yes! We love that couples want to include their furry family members, and we welcome well-behaved pets at The Barn at Crescent Lake. Your pet may participate in the ceremony and remain on the property for the duration of the reception.
All animals must remain on a leash at all times while on the property, and must be under their handler's control. Because the property has farm animals, we also ask that all pets check in with our Animal Caretaker upon arrival so we can ensure a safe environment for everyone — two-legged and four-legged guests alike.
Practical Info
4 QuestionsYes. The Barn at Crescent Lake is fully accessible. The venue features a ramp up to the restroom facilities, and we are able to arrange vehicle access directly to the wedding ceremony and reception sites for guests with mobility challenges who need drop-off or pickup. All seating, entertainment, and food and beverage service take place at the ground level, and the property's pathways are designed to accommodate all guests comfortably.
If you have specific accessibility needs for yourself, your partner, or any of your guests, please let our team know when you schedule your tour. We will walk through every relevant accommodation with you in person.
Yes — we have a large, well-maintained parking lot with ample space for all of your guests' vehicles as well as any vendor and transportation vehicles. The lot is located a short, scenic walk from the ceremony and reception sites, along a pathway that follows the curvature of Crescent Lake.
Guests should park in the main lot and follow the pathway down toward the water. On rehearsal day and wedding day, vehicle access to the venue area itself is reserved for guests with disabilities and those dropping off items — all other guests and vendors use the parking lot and the pathway.
